New Zealand outfit Ringlets occupy that sweet spot between art-school detachment and emotional undercurrent. Their songs feel slightly askew, hooks that reveal themselves sideways, melodies that burrow in after you’ve stopped trying to catch them. It’s music that rewards close listening, that feels alive in its imperfections.
