Jeff Parker / ETA IVtet - The Way Out of Easy. 2LP [Black Vinyl]
On July 22nd, 2024, the ETA IVtet gathered to perform together for the first time since [December 2023], playing for a sold-out crowd of several hundred listeners – a smiling Ryan Julio among them – at Zebulon in Los Angeles. Gonzales was there, recording with his compact analog setup just behind the band on stage. The ETA space may be gone, but its spirit lives and the music moves forward into new vessels.
Classic Black 140g vinyl 2xLP, inside a gatefold jacket, with IARC OBI strip and poly-lined printed innersleeves. Pressed at Pallas in Germany, with lacquers cut by Daniel K at SST.
ETA IVtet is:
Anna Butterss - amplified double bass
Jay Bellerose - drums, cymbals and percussion
Josh Johnson - amplified alto saxophone with electronics
Jeff Parker - electric guitar with electronics and sampler
Live recording by Bryce Gonzales at ETA, Highland Park, Los Angeles, California on January 2nd, 2023
