Limited edition Japanese 2LP pressing. Features the original artwork used on the initial Japanese vinyl pressing. The recorded sound source adopts the 192kHz / 24bit master released in 2018.

Released initially in 1980, "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back”, follows on from “Episode IV: A New Hope”. The film starts with Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia and Chewbacca as they face an attack from The Empire on the ice planet, Hoth. While Han and Leia escape in the Millennium Falcon, Luke travels to Dagobah in search of Yoda. Only with the help of a Jedi Master will Luke survive when the Dark Side of the Force beckons him into his ultimate duel with Darth Vader.

This timeless film was scored by the world-renowned composer John Williams, whose masterful touch brought to life some of the finest songs to have graced the big screen. Performed by The London Symphony Orchestra, Williams’ songs ebb and flow through powerful peaks of excitement, anticipation, suspense, fear, and hope of the film. One of the most iconic soundtracks in the history of cinema, this release is a must have for any Star Wars or film score record collection!
