Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo 2. LP
Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo 2. LP
Alfredo 2 is the rapper/producer pair taking things up to the next level, everything is just that little bit cleaner, tighter and in its right place. Each decadent, luxurious moment feeling like it's got this wash of smokescreen laid over it, with Alchemist applying his usual sample heavy flourishes, chopped up jazz and soul combine with twinkling pianos and his laser focused beats to make a perfectly dark and moody scene for Gibbs to recall his very particular brand of street forward, to the point and cutthroat raps.
