Stereolab - Instant Holograms On Metal Film. 2LP [Limited Clear Vinyl Edition]
After 15 long years London’s iconic avant-pop group Stereolab return with their 11th(!!) studio album ‘Instant Holograms on Metal Film’. Led by key songwriters Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier, to call Stereolab purely iconic doesn't really begin to describe them properly, they’ve always sounded like the future to me, true innovators and there's no exception on this new record.
Instant Holograms picks up where the group left off with 2008’s Chemical Chords and 2010’s companion piece Not Music. They still have that sunshine washed layer of indie & yacht rock but with a new found sense of purpose & adventure. This is a record that frequently speaks and embodies the language of connection, of entwining and union, Stereolab after all this time still have a rare ability to rearrange the world around them.
Instant Holograms on Metal Film is our Album of the Week!
